I don't think this has been plugged on the forum yet, so I'll do it now. If it has, I apologize, just skip down to the bottom to read my personal note about this.

The Trouble With Terry

JULY 23, 30, AND AUGUST 6 AT 10PM

Graduates of the Merlin Works Narrative Longform Series (Improv 401 – 601) perform a run of improv comedy shows in the genre of their choosing, opening the Saturday Night Special for some of the biggest acts in town. The latest round of Improv 601 graduates present The Trouble With Terry.
...
The Trouble With Terry is an improv comedy show inspired by the science-fiction-tinged sitcoms like Alf, Mr. Ed, or My Mother The Car. The Trouble With Terry is opening Gnap! Theater Projects’ Saturday Night Special July 23, 30 and August 6 at 10pm. Once the audience suggests the special quality of the shows main character (such as “My Daughter The Drapes” or “Larry The Liquor Cabinet”), improvisers spin a heart warming tale of family, nosy neighbors, spilling secrets, and the wacky things that happened in the good old days.

Tickets are $5 and you can buy tickets online at http://gnaptheater.eventbrite.com/

This is my third official graduation from an Austin improv academy. I'm 3/5ths of the way to my goal of studying at all Austin theaters. (Hideout and Institution, watch out I'm coming your way next year). This one got spread out over a couple years because of finances and so on, but it's especially nice for me because in the 201 level of classes I met the girl who is now my wife. We decided to finish the program out together. Just wanted to share.

Oh and props to Courtney Hopkin Salinas and Steve Rogers for design and photo.

Hahaha. Awesome.

Thanks for posting this, Patrick! The whole group has done a great job with this show. I didn't even know Fantastic Sitcom was a genre 8 weeks ago.
