Charlie is a Ford E-150 Econoline van, with the Eclipse conversion. Born in 1997, he has traveled about 145.000 miles on this earth and is eager for many more. Beautiful inside out, this van is perfect both as a work van as well as a party/journey van. He comes with 4 pilot seats and one width-long bench that seats 3 people. The pilot seats are the most comfortable I have ever sat in in a car, making 10-11 hour journeys a breeze!
The Eclipse conversion comes with a great sound system, a big TV+VCR in the front, interior lights decorating the whole length of the van, all-leather seats (driver and passenger seats come with a comfortable cotton cover) and a beautiful felt finish throughout.
All windows are slightly tinted and have drapes that can easily be pulled up or down, giving you the privacy you need.
The color in and out is a dark pine green, done very stylishly and elegantly.
If you don’t want all this luxury inside, it is a matter of 5 minutes to remove the 2 pilot seats, the bench and the TV, giving you ample space either for all your work equipment, or for a double mattress and your belongings for your journey. During the first 6-12 months after we joined forces, Charlie was literally my second home with a comfortable mattress in the back and all my clothes and camping gear while I toured the country.
Getting a bit technical, most of Charlie’s miles were done on expressways. Very well taken care of, Texas kept (with short bursts of journeys to other parts of the country), a very smooth drive, Charlie is mechanically in immaculate condition. He will never grunt or complain. He is a exceptionally reliable vehicle that can handle any terrain, any weather, any weight load. During the two years we have been together, he has only needed minor and standard wear&tear repairs. Especially for the last 18 months or so, I have only needed to take him to my mechanic for the regular service.
The AC blows ice cold and has isolated controls for the front and the rear.
All wheels are like new. Inspection was done just a few days ago, with no problems whatsoever, so you got a good inspection ticket for the next 12 months.
Charlie has never had any crashes or accidents. The body is in good condition, but has some slight scuffs and scratches here and there. Nothing major though and most of these are things that I hadn’t even noticed when I first bought him.
Title is clean and I have all service documentation.
The cost of acquiring this new friend and make him part of your family is $3500 o.b.o.
