Do you want to go to Scotland for 2 weeks?

Post by kaci_beeler »

Because you can! (we're 100% serious about this)

As part of PGraph's Kickstarter (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/pgr ... e-festival) we are offering a bunch of amazing pledge incentives to help raise funds to offset some of the extreme costs of going to a month-long international theatre festival in Edinburgh, Scotland, INCLUDING a two week vacation!

For a $2,000 pledge, you get:
-Round-trip airfare from Austin to Edinburgh, August 15th through August 29th
-A 14 night stay, with your own single-occupancy bed in our basement flat SMACK DAB in the heart of Edinburgh. Seriously, this location couldn't get any better. It is a 10 min walk from the historic Royal Mile.
-The amazing opportunity to do our tech for our 45-min improv show at our venue on the Royal Mile, if you so chose (do it!).
-To hear Roy snore and Valerie talk in her sleep (you can borrow Kareem's ear plugs if you must)
-To drink scotch with Kareem
-To explore castles and talk in wizard voices with Kaci

Even if this doesn't appeal to you, we're also offering:
-Personalized postcards and video postcards
-Unfair and misguided abuse of a Hideout staff member
-Free tickets to The Spectacle
-Bundle packs including free tickets and a prime narrative intensive spot
-Coaching and teaching sessions from all 4 members (your choice) for your troupe, show, class, group, or self
-Control of PGraph for one night

Watch our video, find out more! We love this community and the only reason we're able to do this in the first place is because of YOU. We can't wait to take our work abroad and any help you could give us would be immensely appreciated.

PS: Video contains a special treat for all you Kareem fans...

I was seriously considering this, but the work gods conspired against me. My boss is going on vacation for those exact two weeks. Sigh. I'll have to settle for making PGraph dance like monkeys.
The silver knives are flashing in the tired old cafe. A ghost climbs on the table in a bridal negligee. She says "My body is the life; my body is the way." I raise my arm against it all and I catch the bride's bouquet.

If I could do a partial working vacation, maybe... Going to float it by the boss. Any word on wi-fi in the flat or other local establishments?

I believe it does, yes, though I can't find an email that confirms it.

It definitely has Wi-Fi. found the email.

Yesterday I got the official Fringe Fest program in the mail. This thing is MASSIVE. Our tiny listing is on page 91 of 359. I shot a video of flipping through the thing just to demonstrate:

All I need now is $2K (it would really help if folks could drive the APPL stock up to $600)

I just posted a video with a behind the scenes look at our photo shoot last night with Jon Bolden:

Worth watching just to see how contorted we had to get.

So, just wondering.... If my cousin just so happened to be in the area around the end and I wanted to stay longer, would it be possible to extend/change the date of return?

I am still trying to get details on changing the flight. I am pretty sure the dates are fixed, though.

Nevermind. The flight is non-transferable. Dammit.
