It's that time again -- time to bid our friendly House Manager farewell as he abandons us (this time for continued higher education in some inferior state).

And time to hire a new one.

The job description is listed below. If you know anyone that might be interested, send them our way. NO IMPROVISERS!!!

Now Hiring
House Manager
Begins September 8, 2006 (with possible training in late August)
$20 per show, 3 shows a night, Friday and Saturday
Start Time: 6:30
End Time: last one to leave the theatre after the last show

General Job Description: The Austin Improv House Manager makes sure shows run smoothly and succesfully for the audience and the performers, and the theatre. Duties include volunteer management, cleaning, troubleshooting, and theatre maintenance. This is not a good position for someone who wants to perform regularly in improv shows on Fridays and Saturdays. We are looking for a minimum of 6 month commitment for the job. Some experience in theatre, improv, or stage management prefered.

did you post this on craigslist? is that a bad idea? is craigslist only good for "casual encounters"?

Yeah, posting it on other theatre messageboards, craigslist, and austin job related websites might be a good idea.
