How old do you think *I* feel? Hearing that this is No Shame's 10th anniversary, when I did my first one around 15 years ago, is a bit jarring.

(Yes, I know that things that don't happen in Austin don't count.)

Twenty-one years for me. Gah. There are people in the AIC younger than my stage career.

Here is a quick summary of all the pieces at No Shame. Feel free to discuss. Last night's show was a journey in the best way possible.

1. Mcguffee - Number Two is the New Number One

Mcguffee started off by giving out ten year anniversary cupcakes. He then kindly offered ten titles for pieces to be performed at future No Shame dedicated the title "tragically white" to Bryan Roberts

2.Kerri Lendo - You can bake it later

I danced around and made a cake with a lot of absurdities mixed in.

3. Ralph Hardesty - boring ol stand up

A stand up set that referenced basketball shorts and Pedro from the Real World San Francisco. Good times had by all

4. Lynette LaMonica - as myself

More funny stand up/stories. Lynnette talked about getting an offer for a movie roll as "once pretty but now tired and old woman"

5. Your Terrific Neighbors - 2 Bostonians on a break

Your Terrific Neighbors are always funny. Your Terrific Neighbors taking shots during their sketch still very funny.

6. Derek McAlister - Untitled

This one didn't need a title. This one will be hard to capture in words. It was awesome. Derek had a mix of songs he slowly stripped to and made his pecks dance on beat followed by the grand finale of a hand stand in his underwear while his butt cheeks flexed on beat. My favorite part was turning around and seeing some audience members giving him standing ovation. It might be the first stand ovation I have seen in No Shame history.

7. Jericho and Amie - Read this Notice

Jericho reads a gmail exchange among his family members about bridesmaid drama while Amie taps and emotes. The whole thing was pretty great.

8. A video by Todd Mein

I forgot to get the title of the video. It was Micheal Jackson's Beat It with little kids dancing and flys collecting around watercolors.

9. Roxy Castillo - Variety

Roxy started off by talking about how hot Derek was. The audience was on board. She then broke it down with some stories and jokes from her life.

10. Stag Comedy - Jelly Back

David on the floor of his office with Jelly Back. Yay Stag comedy

11. Katie Pengra - Also boring stand up

Katie and Ralph were not boring but very funny. I love that Katie reads Mommy blogs but is not a Mommy.

12. Band of Liars - Improvised song

Impressive and entertaining. I love musical pieces at No Shame. Instruments included keyboard, 2 guitar, harmonica, xylophone, megaphone, and tambourine.

13. Josh Ronsen - The Clifford Simak Project

This was from a bigger piece Josh did where he had 60 descriptions from sci fi novels that described sounds and had musicians recreate them. Josh read some of the descriptions. Must see whole piece as possible.

14 Justin Davis - Story by the numbers

Touching, funny story about Justin teaching in English to high schoolers in Mississippi.

15. Sara Farr - Puppet Improv Project

A pink puppet gave a toast as a bridesmaid at a wedding reception. How does Sara get those puppets to emote some much?

16. Bryan Roberts- The Worst Thing I'll Ever Do?

Bryan set up a serious tense moment bringing Kyle on stage delving into his life and Cystic Fibrosis. It ends with Bryan drinking a small amount of his own blood from a syringe. It turns out it was just ketchup. Bryan fools us all on April 1st.

That was a packed-house blast. I plan on coming back for the April 15 show to do more narcissistic storytelling.
