City Council Candidate Forum on the Arts at the Paramount

The Paramount Theatre, in conjunction with Austin's creative community, is taking the politicians out of the political arena and onto the stage in order to answer public questions pertaining to the arts. At 7pm, Tuesday, March 29, the city council candidates on the ballot for the May election will partake in this Q&A session. The evening's forum will be moderated by Evan Smith, CEO and editor-in-chief of the Texas Tribune.

Each candidate, including the currently seated incumbents Chris Riley, Randi Shade, and Laura Morrison, will have one minute to introduce themselves, as well as one minute each to respond to the publicly posed questions. Representatives from organizations like the ZACH Theater, the Long Center, Austin Film Society, Austin Creative Alliance, as well as many others, are slated to attend.

Austin is a city proud of its creative and artistic direction; the only way to ensure that our city leaders are prepared to support these efforts is to show up and speak out at events such as this.

April 14 is the last day to register to vote in May's election

spitting is really more of a competitive endeavour, though...

Well, sure - if we're talking arc or distance. I was thinking more about the sound and pattern generated upon impact.
