The Hideout Theatre is now accepting May/June availability for the Thursday Threefer, The Spectacle, and The Weekender. In order to coordinate everyone's schedules better, we're figuring out the schedule earlier now, which is why it may seem like you just did this. :)

Please forward this on to anyone who might be interested. If you forward this to someone, copy me, too, so that I can add them to my list.

The Threefer is on Thursdays at 8PM, the Spectacle is on Fridays at 10PM, and The Weekender is on Sundays at 7PM.

The Thursday Threefer is $3, and features 3 troupes. Also, the headlining slot of the Threefer will be given to a single troupe for a whole month, giving them a run of shows. Headlining troupes will be responsible for MCing and taking tickets for the shows they headline.

The Spectacle is a weekly show hosted by Parallelogramophonograph. Troupes performing in The Spectacle get longer slots, typically 35 minutes.

The Weekender features student graduation shows, strong headliners, and out-of-town guests. Show lengths will vary, depending on what is going on that weekend.

The dates we have available are:

Thursday Threefer at 8pm:
May 5, 12, 19, 26
June 2, 9, 16, 23, 30

Friday Spectacle at 10pm:
May 6, 13, 20, 27
June 17, 24

Sunday Weekender at 7PM:
May 1, 8, 15, 22, 29
June 12, 19, 26

You may notice some missing dates. The first weekend of June will be our 40+ Hour Marathon. We'll be soliciting troupes for that separately.

You must submit availability by 11:59pm, Sunday, March 20th to be considered for the schedule.

If after submitting the form you need to make a change, just fill out the form again or email your changes to roy@hideouttheatre.com. I'll only pay attention to the most recent entry for your troupe.

Also, please only submit availability for a date if the majority of your troupe is available to perform.

Once again, here's the link to submit:

2x4 may still happen. But I want to see how April goes first... if it's successful, what needs to be tweaked, etc, etc... If it goes well, I'll do a special casting call for it.

Hey everyone,

Just a reminder that the deadline to submit to the May/June Hideout schedule is *this* Sunday at 11:59pm.

Here's that link again:

Also, while I have your attention...

Austin Secrets at the Long Center
The Hideout is bringing Austin Secrets to the Long Center Thursday the 24th at 8PM. There are a lot of seats to fill, and we'd like to make a big splash. Please consider coming out and spending the evening with us... or at least submitting a secret and/or sharing this link on your Facebook wall:

Electives and Level Six
We're launching some new education initiatives.

John Ratliff is teaching a 4-week elective called "It’s Funny Because It’s True: Finding the Comedy in Reality and Vice Versa", expanding on the ideas in his extremely popular workshop. More info can be found at:
http://www.hideouttheatre.com/classes/e ... lelectives

Also, for the first time ever, we're adding a Level 6 class to the Hideout curriculum, focusing on improvising stories. In many ways, it lies at the heart of what we do at The Hideout, so we're super happy to finally offer it:

Thanks for listening to me! Hope to see you soon, at The Hideout or otherwise. Feel free to email me with questions or comments, as always.

Cheers!
