Naw... could it?
02.18.11 "Firefly" returns. Fillion says he'd play Mal again, makes off the cuff quip about buying rights.
02.21.11 Fans launch "Help-the-Captain-get-his-ship-back" movement.
02.23.11 Jewel Staite wants in. So do a couple of the main writers.
Don't give me all the reasons why this won't happen. Fox won't sell, Fillion and "Castle", Baccarin and "V", Glau and "The Cape" etc. I've already thought of them all. Just let this TV hater who happens to like one show every 5 years or so (which usually means it can expect prompt cancellation - anybody remember "Sports Night"?) have his little dream.
How, though, to bring Wash & Book back? Damn - I thought for a minute Whedon was going to kill them all off at the end of "Serenity".

Re: Naw... could it?
this is my fondest and dearest wish in the world right now and if it happened, it would usher in an age of geek enlightenment not seen since the Stan Lee-piphany of the late 60s (when all minds were joined as one bombastic alliterative consciousness to battle back Q'lur invasion from the 12th dimension). let's all hold out hope and the words of our Captain..."if someone tries to kill you, you kill them right back!"mpbrockman wrote:02.18.11 "Firefly" returns. (i'd love to see Chiwetel Ejiofor pop up again at some point as the new Shepherd in his post-Operative capacity...but that dude's on fire right now so he might be hard to sign on. and clearly, Wash is gone...so clearly they need another goofy sarcastic blonde improvisor to take Alan Tudyk's place. cough...cough.

we've done the impossible before...let's be mighty again!

Ah, to see Morena Baccarin with her long locks back. The "V" look just isn't doing it for me, but as Inara... thank you, thank you Brazil.

And for what it's worth, my lady thinks that Nathan Fillion is to die for. So we come out even on this one.

Hello, my name is Dana Whitaker. I'm the Executive Producer of 'Sports Night' and I'm interrupting this broadcast to tell you that Casey took gymnastics after school for 7 years. How's he lookin' to you now girls?Rev. Jordan T. Maxwell wrote:oh good god...Firefly/Sports Night mash ups! we're doomed.

OK, this is no mash-up - but I remember laughing so hard at this that I choked. Something in Robert Guilluame's delivery:
Isaac: Someone holds the copyright to 'Happy Birthday?'
Dan: The representatives of Patty and Mildred Hill.
Isaac: It took two people to write that song?
