Let's get drinks after the show! But where should we go?
Ninety-nine percent of improv shows happen at the same four or five theaters. Yet there is always a 15-minute debate about where to get drinks afterwards. Blank stares. Shuffling feet. Hemming and hawing.
Let's just settle here on the forums and get on with the drinking. Where are the best places for aftershow drinks and food for each of the theaters?

Redhouse for the Gnap! contingent, but that always ends up stinking because they close so early for late night shows. Manor is desperately in need of some late night drinking establishments.

The ideal place needs to
1) Serve passable food (boo Gingerman)
2) Serve food until they close (not cool, Dog & Duck)
3) Be open on weeknights until at least midnight, 2pm on weekends (suck it Red House)
4) Be located within a four-minute drive from the theater (results may vary)
5) Be reasonably central (death to Opal Divine's south)
6) Serve all manner of alcohol (another strike for Gingerman and Dog & Duck)
7) Be chill enough for good conversation (ironically, Speakeasy is out)
Be unknown enough that it's not always super crowded (why, Trudy's, why!?)
9) Admit ages 18 and up (so close, Casino El Camino)
10) Not be hella expensive (Stephen F. Austin and Driskill are out)
There's a reason this is so hard.
I'm gonna try Frank next time. I'm intrigued.

Is IHOP BYOB?gene wrote:Just buy a six pack of whatever you like and go to IHOP. Problem solved. This meets all of Andy's criteria.
With the money you save on alcohol, you can probably buy at least a bowl of soup.
Also, no hipsters.

As far as I know, any place that doesn't sell alcohol is BYOB.Matt wrote:Is IHOP BYOB?gene wrote:Just buy a six pack of whatever you like and go to IHOP. Problem solved. This meets all of Andy's criteria.
