Heh, look at this old photo I found over there of Roy with some long ass hair.

Of course, I had hair about this time, too.

As for the hair, it was around that long for most of 1994 through like 2001. And that hat, or one like it, was usually involved.

Jordan, I have video somewhere of one of the BUH events where we walk by the Jury lying on the ground, holding flyers up in the air. Of course, I didn't know any of you guys, or even what improv was, back then.

i remember the Knighthood coming up in a few conversations at Jury rehearsals when talking about what we could get away with on campus. as i recall, it would typically go along the lines of someone (usually Jeremy, Jon or Ace) saying "well, what if we did...?"

and Jeff would say "do you think we could...?"

and i would say "well, the Knighthood of Buh..."

and Ben would say "who?"

and i would say "the Knighthood of Buh."

and James would say "they're not funny."

and everyone would ignore James.

and then we'd do whatever the initial idea was.

and then Jeremy would go take a shit.

and then Jeff would go smoke.

and then Ace would go break something.

and then Aaron would go to Harvard.

and then James would go away.

and then Bill and Audrey would go to the future when they were actually in the troupe.

so the Knighthood had, directly or indirectly, an impact on our own guerrila marketing endeavours. and in getting rid of James Aldredge.

BUH's answer to this question was that we were going to make a giant papier mache head of Scott Baio. You know, because the event wasn't already absurd enough.

Roy and I were always in the "let's be absurd, rather than mean" camp in BUH. Over time that became a minority, sadly.

The petition to end the drilling on the south mall was always one of my favorites, mainly for the flier:

The most ridiculous thing was that The Daily Texan took to writing about our jackass group almost every year, and yet we still got away with our stupid events and actually fooled plenty of people.

While I laugh at the thought of this, it doesn't really promote a sincere idea in atheism, only distaste for religion.

@Dan: It's definitely more of a middle finger than a "follow me" sort of approach. I see those atheists on TV all the time just sitting there smug and calling their Christian viewers idiots. I don't know about you, but I never went through that experience on my path to atheism.

It had more to do with self discovery.

yeah, i've definitely always had an easier time making friends with atheists who just believe differently than i do than i have with those who think i'm an idiot (or at least think that BEFORE they get to know me.

). then again, the same is usually true of making friends with other Christians as well.
