That's a concept I'd watch. I don't know if they'd have others fill out the cast or not. Actually, this is close to a concept I've been working on in my head for a while.

That was actually in my original post, yeah. I took it out because it seemed too limiting, character-wise.

Yes, I put a lot of thought into my hypothetical joke formats.

hey, if i had the resources to actually produce the formats i've put up in here, i'd do it in a heartbeat. so don't feel too bad. ;)

Two nations at war. Two expert negotiators arbitrating an armistice.  Hour twenty-seven of a marathon meeting.

The fate of the world rests on whether these guys can avoid killing each other.

I think one of the good things about getting older is, I just listen to everyone's arguments, and nod my head and go, "Oh, that’s interesting."  And then I just do what I want to do.

I don't know everyone well enough to make a cast listing but the thought of an improvised text adventure, or even more specifically Improvised Zork sounds awesome (format is the bat, obviously).

Post by Rev. Jordan T. Maxwell »

all right, i know jack all about Zork...but i miss this thread, so i'm going to cast Grooprov instead.

clearly, it's a Buddy Daddy format. so...

Groo the Wanderer: Arthur Simone
Rufferto: Robin Goodfellow

the fantastically farcical misadventures of the greatest (and dimmest) swordsman to ever walk the Earth and his faithful, brave and much, much smarter dog!

featuring special guest mendicants:

Sage: Asaf Ronen
Captain Ahax: Jason Vines
Arba and Dakarba: Julie Gillis and Kacey Samiee
Chakaal: Emily Breedlove
Arcadio: Michael Thomas
Taranto: Jeff Britt
Grooella: Aden Kirschner
Granny Groo: Amy Averett
Pal and Drumm: Michael Ferstenfeld and Kareem Badr
Pipil Khan: Gene Zhou
Grativo: Marc Majcher
Thaiis: Sarah Marie Curry
Weaver and Scribe: Eric Heiberg and Bryan Cruz
The Witch of Kaan: Audrey Sansom
and Jordan T. Maxwell as the Minstrel. :P

a suggestion inspires a poem/song...which then inspires a show featuring quests, battles, magic, puns, misunderstandings, inside jokes about cheese dip and mulch and Groo inevitably succeeding through failure (or vice versa) and wandering on to the next adventure, secure in the knowledge that in improv...one cannot possibly err!

A traveling sideshow contains the oldest living folks in the US. (each rumored to be over 100 years old) Rumor has it that each folk made a pact at a crossroads with a certain gentleman, and they'll tell you what happened......for the price of admission.

a group of four disaffected youths meet, talk and play manic games of make believe to escape the drudgery and alienation of their existence. to be performed in an actual drainage ditch/under a bridge/some concrete dominated environment. essentially the Just William stories with the Outlaws transported from a childhood in idyllic England to an adolescence in urban blighted America.

- Watch as a member of the Green Lantern Corps and an Austin-based actor/improviser lead almost identical lives due to a freak cosmic storm.
Each show highlights a day they must endure in order to fix the rift and go their seperate ways.

Forms in Triplicate - this troupe needs a cast.
