Name this thing!

Post by Meghan W »

So, a teacher from my improv class up here and I are working to set up a show at the new HUGE Theatre (hooray!) kind of like a Maestro or Fancy-Pants Mash-up, but where 13 imps sign up beforehand, meet about an hour before the show to warm up and decide what type of format they're doing, and then do a show. So, no competitive edge or fancy clothes.

But, we have no name for it! Thoughts? Ideas?
Fatigued, but classy.

When IFE does that, we call it The Catwalk, since we usually figure out what we're doing on that catwalk before the show.

If it's always 13, you could play off that.

The Lucky 13 Show or The Lucky Number or something.

I have been really happy with the name The Fancy Pants Mashup. So maybe just The Mashup, or if you want to give it a little more flair, The Marvelous Mashup.

Other ideas:

The Baker's Dozen
Thirteen Candles
The New Show Show
The Improv Potluck

I think it's because of Roy's 13 references, which made me think of coveny things, which made me think of

Widdershins

I love that word, and I just picture 13 imps performing some counter-clockwise dance in a warm-up. Plus, I'm sleep-deprived!

The HUGE Pile-up

You work your life away and what do they give?

I like this because it's obvious and tied directly to the theater.

Before I saw that, I thought of Who Knows Show because you have no idea what he format is before the show.

It makes me think of some sort of laboratory with new formats bubbling out each week. Something science-y in the name may be worth exploring.
