Malware warnings?

Looks like our happy little adserver got compromised. That should be fixed now, thus ending the pile of malware warnings that Chrome has been serving up. Should there be any further crap of this nature, please send a note to support<at>cynistar.net and I'll take care of it ASAP.

Short story: The old calendar softtware had unfixable security problems and was disabled to keep the webserver from being hacked. The DNS entry for calendar.austinimprov.com still exists but there's no website associated with it so the webserver returns one of the sites it hosts instead, in this ...

Absolutely. The LED stage lights are faboo!

I'm going to hazard a guess at what the issue is: responsibility for the content and software maintenance of www.austinimprov.com.

Those are two separate, linked issues and it helps to understand a little historical context of why www.austinimprov.com is the way it is.

I apologize that I've been off-line via email due to a server failure that is currently being actively worked on.

Any problems with www.austinimprov.com or its management are not mine; I didn't set up the software or hosting for that system nor do I maintain its content. I've worked several times ...

I lost power at the Austin homestead Tuesday night, I spent Wednesday on the phone trying to get it back, plus did an emergency DNS change to set the host in Dallas to be the One True Nameserver.

Ballz.

The upshot is that the forums, etc. were up the entire time but ...

I tried that. It doesn't work out so well. I think it was the plush armored divisions that threw everyone off.

Let me know how you'd prefer it be carved up and I'll make it so.

Also, let me know if there are any show- or troupe-specific fora that need deleting or deactivating. Some people like the historical posts; I'm ambivalent.

Personally, I'd like to whack the spam and cull older casting call and ...

Chris: I'd lend you mine but I'm ... not around. Crap. :(

Sandy: None of are in Pakistan, but if we find it we'll let you know. :)

What do you like best about the forum? And who is your favorite member?

Let me qualify my situation a bit: I did not move to Chicago for improv so our expectations and experiences are necessarily different. I'm not in it to win it and getting downtown and back costs me three hours and $4.50 on the El. The El shuts down long before bar time and I am up every weekday at 6 ...
