Yes, a little dog and a fancy car are all you need in Los Angeles. That, and calling everyone you meet ``bro´´.

Thank you to everyone for the helpful responses. I've decided to go with classes at the Impro Theatre . I'm really looking forward to this. The instructor is Dan O'Connor -- his professional bio seems extensive.

Jeremy, we did meet a couple of times during Jams at the Hideout this past spring. Yes ...

I really liked Stars in Your Eyes. It's just a couple blocks from the Hideout on Congress.

Let's talk about... Los Angeles, and its Improv

Hello,

It seems that several improv-type people have recently relocated from Austin to Los Angeles, and at least one Angeleno has migrated to Austin. Soon to be of the former, I have several broad questions about improv in Los Angeles:

- So what's the improv scene like there? Warm and cudley ...

RE: toilet

In case the caulk doesn't hold up, a cheap replacement toilet could probably be found at the Austin Habitat for Humanity Re-Store. Along with a metric tonne of neat building supplies.

I just installed Ubuntu on a P3-1.2GHz Dell laptop (Latitude C400), and it is rad . Brian Boyko's article really helped push me in that direction (thanks, Brian). I've run linux before (RedHat 6.x, Debian Potato and Woody), and got tired of having to diddle with everything. I want the stability of ...

Nice article. I've noticed the effect that DollarBill mentions with classes I've taught. Days when I was feeling confident and relaxed always went much better with the class -- even when I had not done any prep work. The students ...

A "Javelina" is a type of wild pig that lives in West Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and Northern Mexico. It's fantastically near-sighted, and more viscious than a broken jar of angry bees. Wikipedia has a couple of nice pages about it.

I had never seen a javelina until I went camping at Big Bend ...

Huge thanks for everyone that came out tonight. It was a fantastic load of fun. I had trouble not just laughing hysterically onstage. Super-special hugs to Parallelogramophonograph for the giant, frosted cookie. Yum!

I'll be there!
Great! I'm really looking forward to it!!

Do you collect colloquialisms? I try, but I have problems with instant-recall.

An introduction...

Hello.

This seems to be the Introductions Forum , so I think I'll introduce myself.

My name is Ben .

I have just finished "level 3" (oooo!) with Sir Andy (aaaah!). It was fantastically rad.

I've been to a few Tuesday Night Jams, and met several of y'all.

By day I move heavy objects at the ...
