A to C
So, I have been reading and considering a lot of the A to C stuff in the UCB Manual, experimenting with exercises, dwelling on what works, and attempting to reconcile my own play by combining what I have learned in the past with new insights from the book.
These are the pages that reference A to C ...

improv accompanist
Something that surprises me about Austin, is the lack of musical accompaniment for improv shows here. Back a million years ago at iO, every harold performed downstairs had a piano player to enhance the scenework, which is something I think they still do. Here it seems that only improvised musicals ...

Re: LoveFest auditions this Sunday 10am
Our rehearsal schedule is not yet set. I would like to get in 6-8 rehearsals prior to our opening date, which is January 31st. I do not intend to rehearse very much prior to the new year. Likely, we will meet a couple of times in December for meet and greet and to discuss the format of the show ...

What does "Grounded" mean?
When you say "grounded" in reference to improvisation, what do you mean? How do you define "grounded" improv?

What kind of improv class would you like to see?
I have been wondering what types of improv skills people would like to continue to work on here in Austin. So I ask the group, if you could have an improv class that was targeted on stuff that you wanted to work on, then what would that class be focusing on?

How do you improvise with someone way better than you?
I have been lucky enough to perform with some very talented people, and sometimes I get very intimidated when I am performing with someone super great at the improv. So I'll ask the forum, how do you bring your good stuff when you are performing with people way better than you are?

Re: What do you do when improvising with a terrible improvis
Thanks people! When I asked the question, I wasn't really thinking about inexperienced players or audience members, but appreciate the inclusion of these folks.
What's the difference when you're on stage dealing with it?
And then, why are you performing with "terrible improvisers"?
Usually, I ...

What do you do when improvising with a terrible improviser?
A friend once told me about a conversation with Mick Napier who was asked what to do when improvising with the worst improviser ever.
Mick said something like, "make them look like the best improviser".
It's all hearsay, but I thought it interesting anyhow.
So, I'll ask you, forum-
