Advertising Meeting - Tuesday 3/13

Post by Wesley »

Who would be down for an Advertising meeting on Tuesday the 13th (normally it is jam night, but I'm probably going to call it due to the hecticness, traffic, and other Hideout renters there for SXSW. They tend to hate you stomping around above them while they are screening a new movie). So, it would be the perfect time to meet and discuss our plans for the future.

Again, because of SXSW, I'm thinking an off-campus location. Maybe Trudy's near campus? Or Boomerang's? Or maybe Spiderhouse, even?

How does 6:30 to 8:00 sound?

Votes on where and who's in?

I'm in and I vote Spiderhouse, outside, under a heater.

What will be the agenda of the meeting in a nutshell?

Post by Wesley »

This was just a feeler to see if enough people could even make that day and time.
As per usual, once the time and place are set, the outline of the agenda will be up at least 3 or 4 days in advance. For now, see the proposed agenda for the last meeting since only two of us went over those items. That will probably be the basis for this meeting.

Bump and stuff.

We will hold the meeting Tuesday night at 7:00-8:00 at Spiderhouse.

Ideas need owners.
Absense is consent.
Silence is consent.

We'll start with agenda items from the last meeting and discuss new items afterward (such as bringing back the heat protest idea).

I would like to re-discuss the age-old idea of creating a flier/pamphlet to promote specifically to hotel concierges.

Cool.

We're going to be dusting off a lot of classic ideas, sounds like.

I'd like to chat about creating a printable schedule that we can hand out to every patron that buys a ticket. That way they can come back and see their favorite troupes. I've had several people ask for a schedule while working the box.

I designed a brochure (that is still missing apparently) that is for the AIC as a whole. Talks about the venues, the classes, etc. and has a coupon for $3 off. That might be usable in hotels.

The design can be downloaded from here: http://www.candycoatedbroccoli.com/asaf ... e_2007.pdf. I can modify if need be.

That might work perfectly, actually. We should spend some of that sweet garage sale money on printing up copies of this brochure.

At the 6 Degrees show this past Saturday, this couple sitting next to Kareem and I told me that they came to the show because it was recommended by someone at the Omni Hotel.

Awesome.

That was exactly what reminded me of this old advertising idea.

Actual advertising beyond printing flyers and sticking them somewhere!

I can be there for the full time. If there is anyone that can give me a lift there, that would be awesome.

I can attend if you propose a good time for you for the interview w/ Rare Magazine. My apologies for missing the date/time for this meeting. Normally the second tuesday of the month has a standing meeting for me so I didn't anticipate being able to go. It got re-scheduled..yadda yadda..

Let me know of a better time or else I need to miss this. Sara will represent the LBs if it's an issue.
