Kazillionaire* is happening

Post by beardedlamb »

Unless you've been living under a river for the last couple months, you probably know about the Kazillionaire* show that Madeline and I are doing.
It starts this weekend Thursday - Saturday at 8:30 in the downstairs space and continues on for the next weekend. It's a combined sketch-dance-improv-puppet-nudist-video show with an overarching play-type storyline running through it. We're very proud of it and we hope you can make it.
The reg. admission price is $10 and $8 for students but you improv folks will get a special $5 rate.

Yes, yes, yes. I'm very excited about this. I like runs, I'm a big fan of runs and I can't wait to see how this all turns out. I'm spreading the word.

I'll go as long as there are no stupid dinosaur jokes in it.

I'm coming to the show tonight! Can't wait.

(edit: dinner ran over an extra hour and I missed the show. But I am determined to see it before the end of the run.)

You improvise every day.
Why not get good at it?

I saw it and I'm glad I did. It was a beautiful, off-kilter rosary of moments that flared up like so many incandescent Jolly Ranchers before skittering off in unexpected and gratifying directions. There was sexy dancing and ukulele playing, though not at the same time. There was the playful yet profound unpacking of the best metaphor for improv I have yet encountered. Also, I got to see both Trew's package AND Lamb's hairy mole. Let's just say I got my money's worth and leave it at that.

Allow me to reiterate...

"Kazillionaire is better"

but if you want to see other shows, see those too, they'll probably be good, you won't be missing out at all. Lacuna and Brevia will be around next week too!

Dudes,
Check the Chronicle tomorrow for a Kazill* review somewhere in the arts section. Also, keep an eye on the Austinist for a review.
We're a Statesman Best Bet, we're recommended on Austin360, and my mom really liked the show, so come see it if you haven't.

Thanks,
beard

Don't read the Chronicle. Brenner ate at Chuy's and then took a big steamy one on K*.
