Master Class: The Buzzard Will Never Sing Like You w/ Daddyo

Post by acrouch »

There's a new musical improviser in town!
This March 27, Eugene “Daddyo” Huddleston presents:

THE BUZZARD WILL NEVER SING LIKE YOU:
a performance workshop in creating to, for and with music

Daddyo began at Dudley Riggs’ Brave New Workshop, in 1977, as writer/musician/improv actor. In 1980, founded The Last Laugh Theater, and in 1982, a performance art theater, The Voodoo Museum of Justice & Gift Shop. Around the same time, the Cabaret Daddyo was opened, combining improv, music, poetry, art and stand-up. He went on to accompany many improv theaters, including Stevie Rays and Improv Olympic. He has written music for television and radio commercials, four films and a children’s musical. He co-founded H.L.Merkin Radio Theater, which was produced for NPR’s, “All Things Considered”, and was the music director and host of an improv TV show, “The Comedy Hotel.”

Daddyo has performed with Pee Wee Herman, Jay Leno, Ellen DeGenerous, and film-maker John Waters, to just name-drop a few.

Class costs $35 and runs from 3:00-6:00pm on Saturday, March 27. Register here: http://www.hideouttheatre.com/classes/masterclasses
