New Improv Groups

Postby jillybee72 » August 17th, 2012, 1:12 am

Hey guys. I am forming a couple new improv groups.

One is a group that's completely barbeque based musical improv group, it's called "Grills Grills Grills"

Another performs at an art school, it's called "Improv For Easels"

======

Are you forming any improv groups?

I'm going to form 'Local Dreamless Society', where all the scenes focus on characters who are burnt-out, a little purposeless, and don't have much going on in their lives at the moment.

Also 'Communist Men', an all-male show in the style of Iron Curtain-area Russian propaganda films and literature.

My new troupe is set in an army hospital in the middle of the Korean War. I call it, "The Frank Burns"

I have a feeling every group in this thread is going to play the Out of Sounds Comedy Festival, a week-long celebration of silent improv.

Hellevator Action is a monoscene with pop-outs starring several characters descending on an elevator to the ninth layer of hell.

I think my new troupe has some legs. It's called Quadrilateralpassportobellomushroom.

EDIT: Qshroom, for short.

Enjoy the highly-physical and glittery improv of Splendid Thongs

I love the one where one guy does really grounded, straight-man stuff, and the other is an angry black dry-cleaning magnate. What's it called? Ratliff & Jefferson?
The silver knives are flashing in the tired old cafe. A ghost climbs on the table in a bridal negligee. She says "My body is the life; my body is the way." I raise my arm against it all and I catch the bride's bouquet.

My new project will gather Tom, Ratliff, Ryan, Paul, and all the other teetotalers in the community into a troupe called Midnight Sobriety.
