New mammal discovered

This shouldn't excite me as much as it does!

BBC News wrote:WWF caught two images of the animal, which is bigger than a domestic cat, dark red, and has a long muscular tail.

Local people, the WWF says, had not seen the species before, and researchers say it looks to be new.

"You don't find new mammals that often, and to do so must be extraordinary," said Callum Rankine, head of the species programme at WWF-UK.

I saw that on Drudge yesterday as I was flipping through the news and I saw the pic real quick and read the caption about "new animal discovered" and my first thought was "OH SWEET! They found a baby Brontosaurus!"

Only when I clicked through did I realise that was a tail, not a neck, and that I was looking at it backwards. I was so let down.

BTW, remember that post I just posted to this thread, the one with the National Geographic photo of the lemur? Look at it again and tell me if the hand is not squeezing that little lemur and making his eyes bug out like a stress-relief toy. Poor little lemur!!
