So true! They are an important part of your daily shoelace.

I had to Google that! Nice to meet you.

Here is my ode to aglets:

Aglet is as aglet does and always aglet be
If aglet did not could not would not
Shoelace would fly too free

Ok... it's a stretch and kind of stupid but I'm just having fun with the Posting on Forum Day fun!

They used to use aglets on clothing, before zippers, for the ribbon and such that held the garments together.
Such a riveting subject.

Postby Beth » August 22nd, 2012, 8:54 am

Topping,

Is this like doppelgangers?

That's right, Topping I just trolled your thread and that thread did NOT have any aglets on its end. I checked.

Please don't stab me. :(
I think I'm going to go hide now.

I had shoelaces so long I had to cut the aglets off but I'll never cut Topping off.

Being a bag & purse designer/seamstress, I can appreciate the in-wrap-turing nature of this topic. wocka-wocka-wocka

Don't cut off Topping in traffic. Don't cut Topping off in line. Don't cut Topping off in conversation and DON'T cut off Topping's Pepsi.
