Dave Buckman's show intro

Last week (I think it was the 3fer), Dave Buckman hosted and did something that I really liked that I don't think I'd seen before. I'd love to do it more often. Sadly, I don't remember how it went so "Dave! I need your help here!"

At the top of the show when warming up the audience, he mentioned taking suggestions and made the audience take a pledge with him (by repeating what he said). I remember that the first one was "I will give suggestions at the height of my intelligence." There were two more. What were they?

I really think it helped solicit better suggestions, especially for the first troupe.

Thanks dude...I had forgotten all about this.

I stoleded this from Boom Chicago, where we get the audience to repeat after us at the top of the show to make them honorary Americans for the evening ("Get that Mayonnaise off of my fries!", "Voting is for losers!", etc.)

I made up the ones I did the other week 5 minutes before the show...I think it was:

"I promise to give smart suggestions at the height of my intelligence."
"I promise to clap at what's good and laugh at what's funny."
"I promise to sleep with the cute performers after the show."

You gotta do 3 and get a laugh on the 3rd one, or it defeats it's purpose of warming up the audience.

But of course.

I do really think some of them took it to heart, though, at least the first two. But who knows, maybe someone got some tail, too.

I will steal this and use it while hosting one show tonight!
