A big part of our policy at The Institution Theater is recognizing that people who have accrued experience in other improv programs might not want to start out at, or might not even fit in, a Level 1 class.

That is why on a case-by-case basis we allow people to start out in our 201 or 301 classes (that said, we also have amazing 101 teachers).

Info on our FREE IMPROV WORKSHOP (Wednesday, March 20th, 7-9pm OR Saturday, March 23rd 3-5pm) here:

Improv 201: Scene Dynamics & Forms with JUSTIN DAVIS
Sundays 1pm to 2:30 pm - Class begins on March 24th
Wednesdays 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm - Class begins on March 27th
8 Weeks for ONLY $160 (Payment plans available!)

All improv scenes are about the dynamics between its characters. You'll learn how the simplest moves can develop into the richest of stories with fun and complex relationships. This class will explore emotional range, stage picture and build upon the character development of Improv 101 to deliver you into the most awesome scenes you can imagine.

Improv 301: Group Think & Play with ASAF RONEN
Sundays 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm - Class begins on March 24th
Tuesdays 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm - Class begins on March 26th
8 Weeks for ONLY $160 (Payment plans available!)

Step into advanced scene work and the beginnings of longform. The class will break every convention and create some new ones along the way. Learn how easy group scenes can be, to edit in a way that is less polite and more helpful, and to assess the energy in the room more quickly and how to participate in it – more importantly how to play in it. Milk the fun in each and every moment on stage and off.
