Win an ALL Shows Pass and a FULL Class Pass

Post by beardedlamb »

it's the....
WELL HUNG JURY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Every year, Out of Bounds honors the furthering of the improv artform's evolution in the form of the Well Hung Jury Memorial Scholarship.

The WHJM Scholarship includes a FULL RIDE for classes and an ALL SHOWS pass to the festival. This is like a $300 value, or something!!!

THE RULES
The Scholarship will go to the person who can submit the best new idea for an improv format. Submissions will be in text form only. There are no guidelines for what you submit. It's free and it's all about getting the wheels of invention turning. Please include your email address and name somewhere in the body of the email so we know who you are.

Entries are due August 14th.
Please email your entry or any questions you might have to Aaron ( whj.improv ART gmail DIRT com ). Please do not send attachments. Just paste your idea in to the body of the email. Anyone in the universe is eligibe. You do not have to be a performer in the festival to participate.
A panel of pretentious and jaded WHJ members will go over and discuss the entries and announce a winner via email on August 16th.

I just realized that I submitted mine without a name. So, if that ridiculous idea without any kind of identifying information wins-it's mine. It's been a long week.

I fell asleep to the vision of me winning the contest. And the cinematic musical montage of me going to all the classes, laughing, crying, learning, pushing myself to new levels of Improv. Sipping iced coffee with my new best friends! I'd even bought a backpack!!

Folks, three ex-wll hung jury members have conferred, and the winner of this year's whj Memorial Scholarship is Luis Salinas, who as far as I can tell has no troupe affiliation... and is not performing in the festival this year.
Anyway, the format is entitled The Dream and will soon be published here among other places.

Thanks to all who submitted.

Hooray Luis! Luis is in my improv 501 class and a dedicated audience member. He and Jessica were walking on air yesterday in class with the news of his win. :)
